Back to School

June 30, 2012

It’s hard to believe but it’s that time of year again.  Time to start thinking about going back to school.  While you are making a supply list of notebooks and backpacks, add your child’s eye exam to the top of the list.

Even if there’s no evidence of a problem, it is important for your child to be examined before entering school.  The eye doctors at WGEC recommend that a child have an eye exam before age 3.  School age children should have exams yearly because vision problems can emerge as children grow.  Signs of vision related problems can include squnting, closing or covering an eye, holding a book close to the face, headaches, and using a finger as a place marker when reading.

As with most problems in life, the earlier it is caught, the better.   Start your child off on the right foot this school year; schedule their eye exam today.  Our live online scheduler makes scheduling an appointment easier than ever.  Simply choose the date and time you would prefer, fill out your online paperwork and we will start preparing for your visit.  We look forward to seeing you soon.

  1. Trudy you are so right, taking breaks while doing eye-intensive work is very important. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day!
